A rusałka usually apperead on nights when there was a full moon, and it was dangerous to go near her because she could drown a person in her lake or kill them with her laughter. As time went by, people were no longer so afraid of the rusałki and started to describe them as beautiful fairies living close to lakes. Today a rusałka brings to mind a rather romantic picture of the wind moving delicately through the green trees above clear water.Skarbnik, or the Miners' GuardianIn many regions of Poland, mining has been widespread for many centuries. Since mining is a very dangerous job, people used to build small underground chaples or churches, and belived in miners' patron saints who protected miners and kept them safe. In addition, Polish people also belived in a ghost, or spirit, called Skarbnik. Skarbnik was a guardian of miners who protected them from danger and helped them if they got lost. Skarbnik also led miners to diffrent treasures, like coal or precious metal. It was belived that seven though Skarbnik was a ghost, he looked, dressed and even spoke like a miner.Questions :1.
