My name is Robert Burneika and I am writing to apply for the position of 'Receptionist' at the London chain of your hotels. I found the advertisement for the position whilst browsing the job centre website online and was attracted by the competitive salary on offer and available routes for progression within the role. I have previous experience working as a receptionist at the 'Grovesnor Garden' hotel in Kensington. My duties there included liasing with other staff members, greeting guests and dealing with enquiries. I am currently still a student in the Sixth Form, but I have spare time in the evenings and weekends to work. At school I study languages, which can be very useful for this job, where I may encounter foreign guests and will prove a valuable aid in facilitating communication. I also have a limited knowledge of maths from school. I am extremely interested in passing any kind of formal training in order to gain a City and Guilds qualification in Customer Service, which I am currently working towards. I am free to come to interview as soon as possible. References can be obtained on request. I look forward to hearing from you. Kind regards, Robert Burneika
