In America, people celebrate Independence Day on July 4th. It's national holiday, so children haven't lessons. Independence Day celebrates American Independence from the United Kingdom.

They're getting ready for the party now. They always have barbecue first. Father roasting a chicken and mum'smaking a big salad. Little girl is baking cookies this afternoom. Her older brother is helping, too. He don't preparing any food, but he's decorating the garden with red, blue and and white baloons and tonighthe's helping with the fireworks. In the afternoom they join the street parades. In the evening they watch firework displays.
