Pośród otaczających nas przedmiotów codziennego użytku są rzeczy brzydkie i piękne - do grupy tych ostatnich z pewnością należy angielski dzbanek na herbatę, który przed laty ktoś podarował moim rodzicom.
Nie jest duży, mieści w nim się kilka filiżanek napoju. Czasami wydaje mi się, że parzona w nim herbata ma szczególny smak.
Zrobiony z fajansu przedmiot ma kształt ośmiokąta, który przykrywa stożkową pokrywka. Całości dopełnia prosty dziobek i owalne ucho. Górne krawędzie bocznych ścianek są trójkątne zakończone, dzięki czemu cały przedmiot wyraźnie przypomina obronną basztę starego zamku.
Dzbanek nie ma wyszukanego kształtu, o jego uroku decydują same zdobienia.
Gdy podniesiemy dzbanek, zauważymy znaki firmowe jednej z angielskiej wytworni.
