J'm going to the Science Museum with a friend next week - can you help me with the answer to these questions?
What's the nearest undergound station?
When is the museum open? How much does it cost? Can we take a picnic there? How many galleries are there? And wich do you think is the most interesting?
Many thanks!
Susan

It's a good choice. The Science Museum is really interesting. I'll be more than happy to help you with all your questions. The nearest underground station is South Kensington. You can take Victoria, Central or Piccadilly line to get there. The museum is about five minut walking distance away of the station. The museum is open every day from 10:00 - 18:00 except 24,25,26 December, but the last entry is at 17:15, so you need to be there no later than 17:15. Actually, I recommend you to be there much before that time because 45 minuts is not enough to visit the whole museum. The entry is free for everyone, you don't have to pay anything. You can't have a picnic there, but there is a cafe where you can buy a dinner or cakes or whatever you like. I'm not pretty sure but i think there are about twenty galleries there. My favourite gallery is called 'Exploring Space'. It contains a host of rockets, satellites, space probes and landers. Above your head are two real space rockets: one a British Black Arrow, the other a United States Scout. There is a highly accurate, full-sized replica of ‘Eagle’ – the lander that took astronauts Armstrong and Aldrin to the Moon in 1969. You can also see what real astronaut's uniform looks like. I hope the information will help you.
