My favourite book from childhood is Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe. Basically, it's about a man who landed on a lonely island. He had to learn new skills and organize his life in a totally new way. Fortunatelly, during one of his ventures he has met a man - Friday - with whom he has became a friend. Although, it took long time till the both understood each other.

I think this book helped me to understand how important it is to learn new things because You never know when You need to use them. Also, thanks to it I have realized how important it is to be determined and never give up. It's one of the greatest books for me.
