Imagine being alone for 100 days in one of these situations:

- a single-handed yacht race

- on a desert island

1. I'd definitely feel homesick and loneliness would take its toll on me. Being 24/7 in the middle of nowhere with nobody to talk to isn't a thing I'd like to experience. Of course, dangers of drowning or getting wet in freezing cold water would also be flashing through my mind all the time.

 

2. I have never been sailing so I don't know how to properly prepare to a race like this. But I'd take some food and water for sure, some photos of people close to my heart, warm clothes and some medicaments in case of emergency.
