Grace loses a leg and the horse nearly dies. The girl's mother takes them to the mountains in the west of the USA. There she finds a man, a horse whisperer called Tom Booker. After they have been with him for some time,both girl and horse slowly get better . I haven't read such a fantastic book for a long time. Since I read it, I have seen the film with Robert Redford and Scarlett Johansson. I think the book's better than the film.
