I didn't took (did not + pierwsza forma: take) a swimming cap. Luckily , my friend hasn't started (Present Perfekt stosujemy, kiedy skutek widzimy w chwili mówienia. Tu lepiej zastosować: "my friend did not start) the competition (yet), so lent me it.

When I was swimming, my friends cheered with me (to cheer somebody - wiwatować, kibicować komuś, więc będzie cheered me). When it turned out that I was the first, they carried me around the swimming pool (było już o tym powiedziane, więc lepiej zastosować "the") . It was really amazing. I spent a great time there.
