Pycha sprawia, że człowiek nie potrafi właściwie ocenić swego postępowania, ani wyciągnąć wniosków ze swoich błędów. Tylko człowiek pokorny jest w stanie właściwie ocenić swoje postępowanie i pracować nad poprawą swoich błędów.
Postawa pełna pychy sprawia, że człowiek nie jest w stanie własciwie ocenić popełnionego grzechu i pracować nad poprawą. Jedynie człowiek pokorny świadom grzechu i może go określić oraz starać się z nim walczyć.
W relacjach społecznych ludzie pełni pychy nie są w stanie obiektywnie ocenić swojego postepowania, a pycha często prowadzi do popełniania coraz większych błędów. Ludzie przepełnieni pychą najczęściej postępują źle i utwierdzają się w tym postępowaniu. Ludzie tacy nie słuchają innych, kierują się własnymi przekonaniami, nie zawsze właściwymi. Ludzie pokorni zaś bardziej otwarci są na to co mówią inni. Mają też możliwość pracy nas własnymi błędami i poprawiania swego postępowania. Są oni bardziej podatni na zmianę swego postępowania.

Pokora jest jedną z cech ,która na pewno przydaje się człowiekowi w życiu człowieka .Pokorą więcej zyskamy niż stracimy. Człowiek pokorny przede wszystkim uznaje swoje grzechy,nie wypiera się ich i potrafi prosić Boga o przebaczenie .Bóg jest dla niego autorytetem,ostoją,źródłem wewnętrznego spokoju. Pokorny człowiek nie wywyższa się nad innych,nie szuka rozgłosu ani zwady. Jest świadomy swojej niedoskonałości, błędów i pomyłek ,których nie brakuje. Na osobę pokorną przychylniej nie tylko patrzy Bóg ale i ludzie ją otaczający. Przebywanie w jej towarzystwie nie sprawia uczucia dyskomfortu ani nie wywołuje innych złych doznać. Człowiek,którego cechą jest pycha może mieć problemy w kontaktach społecznych jak i zarówno ze stwórcą.Nie dostrzega swoich błedów,wysoko nosi głowę a jego samoocena jest stanowczo za wysoka i bezwartościowa.Zawsze chce być pierwszy,najlepszy,bez skazy.Ludzie nie chcą przebywać w towarzystwie takiego człowieka ,gdyż jego zachowanie jest karygodne jak i zarówno przykre. Pychę wiele razy potępiał i sam Jezus Chrystus co udowadnia orzytoczony fragment ewangelii „Każdy bowiem, kto się wywyższa, będzie poniżony, a kto się poniża, będzie wywyższony” – Ewangelia Łukasza 14,11
