The tower is more than a hundred years old. It is 98 meters high. The bell in the clock is very big and heavy: it’s height is 2.2 meters and it’s width is 2.9 meters. The size of the clock is impressive: each face is 7 meters high. The hour hands are 2.7 meters long and the length of the minute hands is 4.3 meters. On the right is the River Thames. The boats can’t travel very fast – the top speed is about 15 miles per hour. The Thames is about 200 meters wide here and the depth changes at different times of the day. On your left is the famous Savoy Hotel. I don’t know what the cost of a room is but I know it’s very expensive.
