I would like to tell you about superstition. I am not superstitious, but I know several old wives' tales I would like to talk about.

First of all the black cats: If you see one crossing your way you will have a bad luck.

Second of all the ladder: You mustn’t get through the Lauder, because you will have a bad luck.

The similar situation is with the nun. If nun crosses your way you will have a bad luck.

On the contrary if you meet the chimney sweep you have to catch your button. If you do these you will have a good luck.

 

There are also some superstitions connected with events such as wedding or graduation.

For the wedding the bridge has to have sth. new, sth. old, sth. borrowed, sth. blue etc.

For graduation ball the girl should have red pants or red suspender. Before the final exam the girl shouldn’t cut her hair.
