Last week, I had my photography taken while sharing a with a large group of people. Nothing unusual about that for a restaurant critic, is there? Expert that the table was suspended 150 feet in the air! I do not have a very good head for heights and I cannot remember ever being more terrified. This form of ‘extrime dining’ involves getting stapped into seats attached to a massive table, witch is then lifted high into the air by a large crane. Sounds crazy? You’re right, it is! It also very expensive . For 10000 you too can have your own sky high dinner party. And don’t worry – they get the equipment checked very regulary, thank goodness! As for me,I must admit – I couldn’t bring myself to eat anything – although it all looked delicious. The waiters cooked everything in a small oven in the space between the tables (it had a floor by the way!) and moved freely without safety straps or harnesses. Everyone said the food was fantastic but the movement of the table by a slight wind made me feel nauseous.I just watched other people enjoy themselves and had some very loud conversations with my neighbours. For people who are bored with normal restaurant and who are looking for a completely dfferent experience – this is a must. Just remember to go to the loo before you get strapped in and try to hold on to your fork .
