Dear Swastika, How’s life ? thanks for the letter telling about your holiday activities. Last lebaran holiday, my family and I went to Goa Cemara Shore. We wanted to release the baby sea turtles. Goa Cemara is located in Patihan, Gandangsari, Bantul. The walk to the beach was pretty far , but very shadi. It felt like we’re in the twilight movie scene, a great for photo shoots! We only adopted 5 baby turtles, each turtle cost 10.000 rupiahs. The baby turtles were just hatched. I thought they were cute. I chose my trutle and named him timothy. My sister Emma also chose one and namaed it Dora. Timothy and friends were very skittish in the box , then right when we set them in the sand, they immediately got still. We entered Timothy in the race. We were told by our guide, that before the race began, we should face the little babies south, so that when they came out to shore at night, they would remember which way to go. Cool, isn’t it ? and the race began. I could see how energetic they were. What I noticed was that when they hit the water and were pushed back by the waves , the turtles ran faster , as if knowing what’s ahead of them. They’re just about to gr swept away by the ocean. Dear jody , Thanks for your e-mail which I received last week. Sorry for writing back that late, but unfortunately I’ve been extremely busy recently because of all the work for school. The new semester has just begun. You asked me about my hobby. Well’ I love reading very much. It keeps me busy in my spare time and gives pleasure also. I read only good and useful books. I can get much useful knowledge for them. Books are the chief source that provides knowledge, information and entertainment to your mind. Books brighten our ideas. People think that they can get more knowledge from the T.V and the films. But in my opinion the best knowledge is stored in books written by master minded geniuses. Books are our best guides and honest friends. Reading gives much pleasure. I can enjoy the company of great writers by reading their works can learn from them good and noble things of life. Goods books are friends. They contain the wisdom of ages. They are an endless store of knowledge. We can learn much from them they give us food for the mind. Reading book is the best of all hobbies. It is not very expensive. We can borrow books from libraries. That’s what I think about reading book as a hobby. I know that your hobby is doing physical exercise. Please tell me about your hobby. Gapain Uni disini? Pantesan aja kayaknya gue kenal rambut panjangnya. Bukannya dia lagi ada acara? Untuk apa sih, dateng-dateng kesini segala. Kalo kayak gini sih, punah semua harapan gue untuk membuat kenangan manis sama Adit hari ini. Aduh, Uni ngelambaiin tangan juga. Rasanya tangan gue makin lemes aja. Sama sekali nggak ada selera buat ngebales lambaiannya. Saking lapernya sampe pengen muntah di muka Uni. Jadi sebel ngliat mukanya. Sok innocent banget sih. Nggak nyadar udah ngerebut calon suami orang. Jadi sewot sendiri. Padahal gue udah ngrencanain pura-pura pingsan karena nggak makan siang di depan Adit. Uni bener-bener perusak suasana. “Kok sendirian,Tit. Papa dimana?” tanya Adit begitu Tita sampai di mejanya. “Mereka masih disana.” jawab Tita singkat. “eh, tadi loe jalan sama Adit, ya?” tanya Uni. “I…ya.” jawab Tita ragu-ragu. “Ngapain aja?” tanya Uni lagi. Aduh, gue mesti jawab apa, nig. Jadi nggak enak ati. Adit kan sengaja ngebatalin janjinya sama Uni supaya bisa pergi sama gue. Jangan-jangan dia mikir yang nggak-nggak tentang gue sama Adit. Gue sih ngarepinnya sesuatu yang nggak-nggak terjadi antara gue sama Adit. “Eh, Ananda nelpon ke radio, ya? Lo denger nggak?” tanya Uni. “Hah? Oh, itu….e denger.” jawab tita dengan perasaan tidak enak. “Sebenarnya, yang diomongin Nanda itu bener nggak sih?” tanya Uni. Aduh, kok dia nanyanya langsung gitu, sih? Nggak basa-basi dulu, kek. Jangan-jangan dia sakit hati. Gue dibilangnya nggak setia kawan lagi, pembohong, dan segala macam. Tapi salahnya juga, sih. Pacaran nggak bilang-bilang. Kan gue udah keburu suka juga. Tapi gue mesti jawab apa, nih? Nggak mungkin banget kalo gue jawab ‘iya’. Tapi secara nggak langsung itu udah terus terang ke Adit kalo gue duka sama dia. Kalo gue jawab ‘nggak’, kapan gue bisa ngrebut hati dari Uni? Jawab apa ya? 15 menit lagi Adit pulang, nih. “Kok nggak jawab? Grogi ya? Atau takut?” ejek Adit. “itu, eee…” Tita mencoba jawaban yang tepat. “Nggak usah salting gitu dong, Tit..!” kata Adit. “Siapa yang salting?” kata tita yang menjadi salah tingkah. “Gitu aja sewot. Kenapa sih? Malu ya ngejawab pertanyaan Uni?” goda Adit. “Siapa yang malu? Malu kenapa, lagi..!” kata tita kesal. “Udah, kalo malu, malu aja. Nggak usah ngeles segala deh. Bilang aja loe malu ngaku ke Uni kalo loe suka sama gue. Bilang aja kalo yang di bilang Nanda itu bener semua. Uni nggak akan marah, kok. Ya nggak, Ni? “GR-an amat sih, jadi orang. Asal loe tau aja, semua yang dibilang Nanda to boong! Denger, kan. Boong, Nanda itu.” bagaimana karakter tokoh yang ada dalam kutipan novel terjemahan tersebut
