In my family there is an annual tradition. Every August we get together for a family picnic. My whole family attends, including my great-grandparents' generation from Lodz, my grandparents from Poznan, my aunts and uncles from Katowice, and my cousins from Wroclaw. Everbody attends because of the various activities and dishes served at this picnic. My mother's brother is reponsible for organising the activities each year. We have sports games (such as a badminton competition), a quiz about Poland, a Lego building contest, and more. My mother is reponsible for planning the menu. This year she served cold cucumber soup, pizza, French fries, Wiener Schnitzel, sushi, French desserts, and much more. Every year the picnic is in a different location, in a different family member's town. The family rents rooms in a student dormitory at a local university, and we stay there for two days. We laugh, we play, we sign, we dance, we eat, and we have a wonderful time together.
