Tourism can have a positive and a negative effect on the local people and the environment. firstly it provides jobs and therefore reduces the umemployment rate in the country. it also raises the country's economy and helps the country to develop. Due to tourism people can learn about different cultures and traditions. on the other side there are some negative aspects of tourism. tourism could be very harmful to the environment. buildings such as hotels are often needed to be built on green sites and therefore sometimes ruin the beautiful views the place has on offer. As well as this, in less developed countries the prices of food have risen due to the tourism as the tourists can afford to buy the goods at a higher price while the local people might find it very difficult to pay for food at such high prices.
