If you want to spend your holiday in Poland, I will help you with select intereting places.
In my opinion you must visit Pałac Kultury and Zamek królewski. You can learn about polish history. I think that the best transport is underground, because it's very cheap and you can travel to many places. If i were you, i will stay at the hotel in the Warsaw. I think that the Polonia Palace will be right. You sholud bring some clothes, cosmetics, sunglasses, towel and some books if you like.
