Present Simple - używamy kiedy mówimu o czynności, która jest naszym zwyczajem, trwa przez jakiś dłuższy okres czasu. Np. kiedy mówimy LIVE w kontekście mieszkania na stałe gdzieś - używamy Present Simple (jeśli chodzi o tymczasowe zamieszkanie - Present Continous /ex. At the moment I'm living with my friend - Tymczasowo mieszkam z koleżanką/. Są jeszcze czasowniki statyczne - tj. takie, które zazwyczaj używamy w formie present simple, np. like - lubię /jeśli lubię, to takie jest mój stały zwyczaj/; think - myślę /jeśli myślę, uważam - present simple, jeśli zastanawiam się w tym momencie - continous/, believe - wierzę /podobnie jak like, jeśli wierzę, to taki jest mój stały pogląd (ex. I believe in heaven - wierzę w niebo)/.
Present Continous - używamy kiedy mówimy o czynnościach wykonywanych przez nas w tym momencie, można to tłumaczyć jako 'w tym momencie robię to i to'. Stosujemy kiedy dana czynność jest przez nas wykonywana w tym momencie i trwa, nie została zakończona.
