I got your message from Australia thet you would like to cook a Polish dish for your coocking lessons.I would suggest you  a traditional polish dish called Pigeons. (Gołąbki)
You should get yourself: 1 cabbage, 1kg of mealed meat, two pockets of cooked rice, pinch of salt and pepper, one plank, knife , pot, 1 liter of clean water.
You should mix the cooked mealed meat with rice and meanwhile cook the cabbege. Form meadium balls of the rice and meat mix and wrap them into cabbage peaces.  Put them in a pot and add a little water then add the salt and pepper. After 15 min take it out on a plate and it's all ready!|
