It offers well-paid jobs for many professionals, like make-up artists, photographers, designers and models. What's more, it is aimed at finding a target consumer and selling the product (clothes and accessories). It hires people who take care of marketing strategies and advertising. In this respect it's no different than selling cars or computers. Plus, big fashion houses invest in stock market.
