1. She is staying at the Lower East Side part of New York, at her friends Miki's place.

 

2. She thinks Miki is a nice a girl and a great roomate one would like to live with. She likes the districts as it has a lot of cool shops and cafes. She also mentions that the flat she is staying at is lovely, but sometimes makes her uncomfortable. The flat has a lot of light and a fantastic indoor garden. 

 

3. Nadine thinks that having a glass walls in between respective rooms is quite odd. The flat also has some curtains that do not block the sounds and voices of her roomate activites, something that Nadine doesn't like too much.

 

4. Personally, I wouln't like a flat like that. I'm a very family-oriented person, I live with my family and would be akward for us to have this little privacy in our home. I also suspect that flat would be quite expensive to maintain ( the mortage) as it is located in New York.
