A surprising result in strive for equality between women and men in Britain, led by Rita O'Grady

The struggle of woman in reducing the inequality in pay and availability of work on the job market characterized by the superiority of men isn't new, however only very few women have attempted to fix it. One of the women who tried to actually do something about it is Rita O'Grady.

Rita O'Grady, a worker at Ford, has decided to lead a strike of women against the inequality between the women and men. Rita and some of her co-workers have met with the Secretary of State for Employment to negotiate a new set of terms which should make the inequality between women and men quite less dramatic. As a matter of fact she has negotiated an increase of 90% in pay and a movement towards the male rate at Ford.

Quite an astonishing and surprising result for many women in the struggle for employment equality. Such outcome might motivate many other women across the world to take a similar action in negotiations with their governments. Who is next?
