Yesh, of course it is

Before we discuss it, let's recall the event from the age of dinosaurs...

Some people said that the dinosaurs went extinct due to a fallen meteor that hit the earth, right? Actually it's not the meteor itself that killed the dinosaurs, it's the environmental problem it caused.

The fallen meteor hit the ocean, thus creating a thick cloud of dust which last for a hundred years. This cloud of dust is similar to what we're facing right now, the CO2 layer in our atmosphere. But, right now, our CO2 layer is still quite thin, sunlight can pass through, but the reflected heat are trapped inside.

On the other hand, the dust cloud from the dinosaur age is even more thicker, even sunlight cannot pass through the cloud! The sunlight which brings the heat and energy for creature to live completely blocked, thus, the surface of the earth became colder, the plants dead, the reptiles which are poikoiterms dead, fish dead, etc... Due to the low temperature, ice started to form and creating what we called Ice Age.
In this age, only mammals which have fur to keep their body warm and ability to hibernate can live...

In the end, if we don't stop global warming, the CO2 layer in our atmosphere will become thicker and thicker until sunlight cannot pass through, similar to what the dinosaurs had experienced. And in the end, the next Ice Age will happen...
