WELCOME TO BEN NEVIS 1
This is Bem Nevis. It's in Scotland and it's the tallest mountain in the UK. 'Ben' is an old Scottish word that means 'mountain'. 'Nevis' means 'cloud'. It pften rains on the mountain and the weather is very cold. It's much colder on top of the mountain than in the valley below and there's more rain. There's snow on the mountain all year.
Lots of people like to climb Ben Nevis. There's a path up the easiest side of the mountain. But the weather changes a lot,so it's always dangerous. Some people die on the mountain every year.
Scientists often come to Ben Nevis to study the weather. At the top of the mountain there's an old weather station. There's also an old piano there! A Scottish man, Kenneth Cambpell, carried the piano up the mountain to make money for charity. wearing a kilt.
