A: Hi John, have you chosen your GCSE subjects already ?
B: No, i haven't. Actually, I'm sure by now that I want to take higher English and Extended Maths, but the rest of it is still unknown.
A: Well, I've just picked out mine. I'm taking core English, Biology, PE and extended Maths, French and Chemistry.
B: Woah, it looks like you're going to have very busy next 2 years ! I heard that the French teacher is really good, but demanding.
A: Yes, she is, but she's a really good teacher, so after finishing school you're fluent in French or at least you understand more or less from various texts.
B: I think that Ive finally made the decision - I'm taking French as my second language.
