1. Crimes are things that we have to stop. We have to stop mugging for example. And if we want to stop them, we have to find the reasons. And reasons are very simple. For example, bad nature of human. Another reason is need of money. Many people are poor. Different cause is hunger. A lot of children, adults, teenagers are starving and then they steal things. It's really sad to see those people in prison. They were just hungry... but we can't forget, that the other reason is the bad nature, and it's the biggest problem.

2. We can give them food. We can give them work. We can give them home... There a lot of things we can give them. We can talk to them. Society can hire them to, for example, build streets. Or even clean old things like bikes. Only thing we have to do, is think. Think how to help them. And then I'm sure that we reduce the number of crimes.

1. The most typical causes of crimes like mugging is a need of money, poor people steal because they have no other way to get food, money, clothes, etc. One of the most important causes is just bad natured people and that's something that is really hard to stop.

2. The society could increase the number of shelters for poor people. There's a lot of varieties like giving out food, money, old clothes, or even hiring these people to do things for us, like taking the dog a walk, cleaning an old bike or stuff like that. We could also try and talk to them, explain what the person getting mugged must feel like and what and awful expierience that is.
