a) I agree with the statement that increasingly, a lot of people research products online and then go to the store to pick that product up. The Internet is an infinite source of information. One can find reviews of just about any product there. Some reviews are written by professionals while others by consumers. Therefore, many especially young people research products online. Still, many of them will go to the store to buy the products because in the store they can touch them, try them out and ask the clerks questions. 

 

b) Customers on the high street and online don't behave very differently. Both types of customers want to buy good quality products at a reasonable price. The difference is that online shoppers look with their fingers while traditional shoppers with their feet. However, both types of customers look at several produts before buying one, and both do research and ask questions before making a decision.

 

c) I completely agree that a good website is one that is easy to navigate, easy to find, and easy to transact with. Online shoppers may or may not know exactly what they are looking for. If they don't know the exact name of the product, then they have to search on the company's website. There should be several ways to find the product that meets the customers' needs: through the search box, by category, through pictures. If the website isn't easy to navigate, the customer will get frustrated and leave before making a purchase. Once the desired product is located, it should be very easy to pay for it. Multiple methods of payment should be accepted: credit card, bank withdrawal, in person, etc. The payment screen should be accessible from any screen and from the payment screen the customer should be able to the shopping screen without losing the item in his shopping cart.
