Dear Editor,
I am writing in connection with Ashley Thompson's article “Why
TV is bad for us" in last Monday's newspaper. 
I first of all agree with Thomson that television encourages laziness. Time spent on a sofa in front of a television set time be better used for example example on walks, science and time actively spent with the family. We become more lazy as we sit and look at programmes not having any value
I am careful then when considering that television does not pass on essential messages.
Many programmes are which are on a very low level.
Next she writes that "we do not use our brains when we watch tv". In my
opinion this is a very good point because men look at programmes such as Big Brother, which are on very low level and our brain be filled with foolishnesses. We  during this time could see a nature film or read a book.
Finally, Ms Thomsons writes that television taught the young men violence. I support this argument entirely, the young look at TV for adult
blood, fight, violence which is very often the basis of many films.
