Przystanek Woodstock is a two day festival in the middle of summer (break of July and August) and it was launched last decade to thank the volunteers who collect money in the streets in the middle of winter for The Great Orchestra of Chriatmas Charity- the largest annual one-day charity action on the globe. Boy, was that sentence loong...
Anyway the concert lasting two days on two stages attracts a massive audience, last year 400,000 people came (to Zary, where it was held for the last years). This year it moved to Kostrzyn (almost on the Polish-German border) and propably due to that move the number of people decreased to still high 250,000 or more. Next year it will remain in Kostrzyn. For the record- people don't come here for stars of the world format. That's because the bands don't get paid more, than for a train ticket home. But it didn't scare off for example Die Toten Hosen. 40 bands that performed this year come from several countries and though aren't known all over the World, guarantee a great atmosphere, which can be seen in the TV transmissions or on the net. If you can have fun not disturbing the others, than you are welcome!
