I love to travel. I like to explore different parts of the world: high mountains, blue waters, green forests. However, if I have to choose my favorite type of holiday, then I will choose sightseeing in a big city. I would like to go to Budapest, Hungary because it is a big city with historic buildings and because it has a fun atmosphere.
From my friend who has been to Budapest, I know a lot about this city. It is the capital of Hungary and it is located on two sides of the river Danube. One side is called Buda and the other Pest. Buda has many old buildings. For example, the Royal Palace, sitting on top of a hill, was built in the 14th century. Many kings and queens lived there. Next to the Royal Palace you can see Matthias Church. It was built in 1015. It is almost 1000 years old! Originally it was built in Romanesque style, but now it looks Gothic. It is beautiful. On the other side of the river is Pest. There are modern and old buildings there. My favorite building is the Parliament. It is huge and richly decorated. It has lots of little towers and windows. It is located on the Danube. The best part about Pest is the fun atmosphere. There are shops, restaurants, night clubs, jazz clubs, theaters, and more. People are always in a hurry and they dress very fashionably.
If I go to Budapest, I will visit all these places. I like to study history, so it will be fun to see so many old, historic buildings. Also, because I am young, I like to have fun with other young people. Budapest has a lot of fun places where young people can go. After a holiday to a big city, I am full of energy. Now I only need money to be able to go on my dream holiday.
