1.Are there a lot of CCTV cameras in your town? Where are they? Why are they there?

2. Do you think CCTV cameras are a good thing or a bad thing? Why? / Why not?

1.Yes, there are lot of CCTV cameras in my town. They're placed mainly near important building such as banks or town hall, but some of them are also on private houses around the city. They're placed there, so they can provide security to important companies or people.

 

2. Well, one could say that CCTV cameras are both good and bad thing. Their good aspect is that they're very reliable mean of the security and they're relatively cheap. They're also thing that people can depend on, because machine is less problematic to use than a human. Their bad aspect is that it limits citizens privacy. They're constantly watched, no matter if they want it or not. We don't see it everyday, because CCTV cameras aren't very eye-catching, but still they're here stealing bigger or smaller parts of our privacy.
