Personally I think you can get some great effects with film but most people use digital nowadays. It’s a great way to enjoy the scenery but it’s annoying if you get a flat tyre and have to repair it by the roadside. Dad’s made a special display stand for my collection- I’ve got national costumes from 25 different countries. You have to be very strong and have excellent balance, especially when you’re performing on the bar. It’s not just about going out for nice rides in the countryside. Feeding and cleaning are very hard work. Working with water-colours is quite difficult because you can’t hide your mistakes like you can do with oils. It’s best to turn on the oven and weigh everything out first before you start mixing any ingredients together. My parents complain about the noise so I usually practise with headphones on, unless they’ve gone out. My uncle travels to lots of different countries and brings back all the new issues for me to stick in my book.
