a) gerunds:
- some verbs are followed by gerunds: like, enjoy, don't mind, hate, can't stand, start, stop
- we always use a gerund after a preposition:interested in, bored of, angry about, keen on
b) infinitives:
- some verbs are followed by infinitives: would like, plan, need, hope, expect, decide
- we often have sentence with be+adjective+infinitive: it's easy, expensive, cheap, good, better to
