Bueno, tequnicamente, no es un libro, es una leyenda redactada en varios manuscritos a lo largo de la edad media. Ahora, escribiré el resmun en Ingles:
Uther Pendragon was the king of Britain. He had a mortal enemy, the Duke of Cornwall, Gorlois of Tintagel. Uther wanted to have sex with Gorlois' wife, so with the magic of Merlin, he takes the Duke's aspect and lays with his wife that knight, while Gorlois is killed in battle. That way, Arthur is begotten.
Uther dies later, and Arthur grows up under the cares of Sir Hector. When he is 16, he goes to a tournament as a squire of Sir Kay (Hector's son). When Kay is about to joust, he noticed he is missing his spear, and tells Arthur to bring one. He finds one in a church, which was nailed in a stone. He takes the sword out of the stone and takes it to Kay. This was a sword only the legitement king of Britain could take out, so he becomes king. He establishes his court at Camelot, and gathers his knights, including Sir Lancelot, Sir Gawain, Sir Percival, Sir Galahad, Sir Tristan, Sir Bors de Gannis, Sir Hector de Maris, Sir Gather, among other.
With his knights, he has many adventures (including finding the Holy Grail), and expels the Saxons from Britain.
Arthur end is due to betrayal. Lancelot had a romance with Arthur's wife, Guinevere. Sir Morderd finds about this, and tells this to Arthur. He decides to kill Guinevere, but Lancelot safes her and takes her to Wales. Arthur and his army go to Wales to face him. Lancelot is defeated and goes to France, were Arthur also follows him. When he goes to France, he lives Mordred in charge of the throne. Mordred declares Arthur has died and is crowed king. When Arthur returns, he faces Mordred in the plains of Camlann, were he kills Mordred but is mortally wounded. While he dies, he is taken to the Lake of Avalon, were he crosses to the veil of Avalon, to another world, where he is healing becoming strong again, and will return when Britain needs him the most.
