Towe Bridge is a suspension bridge in London. It is situated over the River Thames. It is close to the Tower of London. It was opened in 30 June 1894. It was designed by HOrace James. Orginally wt was painted a chocolate brown colour. Total cost of construction was Ł 1,184,000. The bridge is 224m in length with two towers each 65m high. Towe bridge is still busy and vital crossing of the Thames: it is crossed by over 40000 people every day. It has become an iconic symbol of London. The nearest London Underground station is Tower Hill on the Circle and District Lines.
