Hi Marina!

I just thought I would tell you about my favourite TV Programme. It's called Match of the Day and basically it is a show about football. It is shown once a week on Mondays and usually lasts one and a half hours (although sometimes it can last even longer!). This programme is a little difficult to watch, because it is a British TV Show, broadcast on the BBC, but luckily I can watch it on the BBC's website shortly after it is aired live.

The show is a montage of highlights from English football, followed by commentary and analysis by football experts. They show all the goals and events in a match, which usually takes about five minutes, and then talk about it for another five. There is a lot of technical talk, and often they have virtual replays, drawing on the pitch to demonstrate tactics.

I would say it is my favourite programme because I am very interested in football. Match of the Day shows me all of the week's footballing action in not just the Premier League, but also sometimes in the lower leagues. It is a good way to find out all of the scores and news. It is also funny and very informative, the host Gary Linekar knows a lot about football, and the guest presenters can also be humorous.
