Dirty Dancing is a film about two people who love to dance. What drew 

me into the film from the outset was the one of two main characters – 

Frances ‘Baby’ Houseman - a sweet daddy's girl, who goes with her 

family to a resort in upstate New York's Catskill Mountains and 

unexpectedly become infatuated in camp’s dance instructor – Johnny.

I was fascinated by the soundtrack and the professionalism of the 

dancing actors and actresses. Although none of them was a 

professional in the field of dance, they all presented wonderfully. If it 

comes to music, in my opinion it was not only a perfect setting for all 

events, but also it was perfectly matched with the characters, scenery 

and the recording time (80’).

The film is suitable for all, regardless from age, character and taste. 

As I mentioned above it is about two people who love dance. They meet 

by chance at the camp and fall in love. Together they overcome all 

obstacles – inter alia the angry of Baby’s father, who does not agree to 

meet up his daughter with Johnny and certainly for common dance. 

This film is the mixture of love, dilemmas, fear and at same time a 

courage. 

In conclusion, Dirty Dancing is a film, which left a big trail on my 

life and which permanently etched in my memory as one of the best. 

You will really love this film with its fantastic music, phenomenal 

actors and perhaps trite, but captivating plot. You will be transported 

into a wonderful eighties world, full of youth and power.

Dirty Dancing is a film of my childhood. I watched it every day several times, I knew the dialogue by heart all the actors, all the scenes, and even once I could dance like the main characters in the final scene. I love the main actors, their song and game. I would recommend anyone who has not seen it.
