Dear Ann,
I'm writing to you because I have to change my plans concerning our skiing trip next weekend. I have just been informed that next week I will have to take the maths exam at the univeristy and I need as much time as possible to prepare for it.
I'm very sorry, I know you've already made all arrangements. Do you think it is possible to change the date of our trip for the next weekend?
If it's OK I could call the hostel and try to change our reservation. If it's not possible than perhaps you can go with someone else.
I would appreciate your prompt answer. Once again I apologize for this situation and I wish you a great weekend nevertheless.
