I'd decline cookery books and dinner at a restaurant. Books are things that everyone can buy by himself. It doesn't require to be a winner in a competition. This reward wouldn't be as much satisfying as a meeting with a superior cook. Dinner at a restaurant also doesn't seem to be a worthy prize. No one needs to win a competition to go to a restaurant. Of course a winner wouldn't have to pay for this dinner, but it wouldn't be so memorable.
