Generally, smaller shops in Poland are open from 10am till 6pm. Supermarkets and big shopping centres are usually open from early morning hours (like 8am) until late evening hours - usually 8-10pm. Usually, most shops are open Monday-Saturday but there some shopping centres that are open 24/7. At small, local shops you are usually required to pay in cash. Bigger shops, supermarkets and shopping centres allow customers to pay either in cash or using a variety of debit cards and credit cards. If you do not want to shop in a traditional way you can always use internet shops. There are hundreds of them. All you need is a computer, the Internet access and your credit card. There are also the so called auction websites, where you can auction various items directly from individual sellers. In Poland, the biggest auction website is Allegro - offering hundreds of thousands of items, from books and CDs, old & new furniture, clothes, to cars, apartments and multitude of other things you can buy.
