First of all, cats can provide great companionship. Their presence and the sound of quiet purring will surely help us relax and rest after a hard day. They are also very loyal and you can have fun playing with them.
Secondly, cats are quiet and easy to maintain. The only things they need are some food, shelter and a caring hand to stroke them. Unlike dogs they don’t require a large yard to run and don’t need human assistance to go for a walk outside.
On the other hand, some people are allergic to the cats and may have many unwanted symptoms such as: sneezing, red, itchy eyes or difficulties in breathing . For them having a cat isn’t the best option.
What more, cats can sometimes scratch you. They can do it especially to your children who doesn’t often treat them well while playing.
To sum up, although there are some disatvatages of keeping a cat as a pet, there are much more benefits. I think that cats are very friendly and affordable to everyone and therefore make great pets.
