Boarding school can be a great place to meet new people and to have fun while you're at school, but this kind of school is not a good place to go if you don't like being away from your parents or your friends.
But boarding school has a lot of advantages, it can be really fun if you get really close to the people you meet there. The number of students in one class is rather lower, than in a normal day school, so as a result you get more attention from your teacher, you can learn more and have better grades. Students enjoy more challenge and face fewer harmful distractions. You will learn to be responsible for yourself. Boarding school has also many disadvantages for example some social network sites that you can access through the weekends are blocked during the week. In most boarding schools, you can only go so far away from the premises when you wish to go out with friends.Many of the boarding schools are religious so you will sit through an hour church service. You can also suffer homesickness and you can get a room with nasty people. Shy, quiet and not very open children should avoid this kind of school. It can be dreadful experience for them. One of the major advantages is that you can learn how to be independent, and that's really important. That's why I genuinely support boarding schools. I wish my children could go to boarding school.
