I do many things to protect the environment. First, I recycle. In my house, we have four trash cans: one for paper, one for glass, one for plastic, and one for trash. Once a week, my father takes everything to the recycling center. 

Second, I reuse shopping bags. Nowadays, many stores give shoppers a plastic bag with every purchase. However, I never take it. Instead, I use my own bag. Plastic bags are terrible for the environment and I want fewer bags to be produced and then discarded.

Finally, I walk, bike or take public transportation whenever I can. Automobiles pollute the air and poison all of us. Therefore, my family does not use the car if we don't have to. Walking and biking is also healthier for our bodies.
