There's a beautiful custom of sharing a wafer with the whole family just before Christmas dinner. When family see the first star in the sky, they take seats at the table. Family have a big dinner but they musn't eat meat. There are a lot of dishes on the table. For example red borscht, fried carp, cakes. Meanwhile people sing carols or just listen to them. At the midnight they often go to church to attend a midnight mass. Next day, 25thof December, they spend at home. They eat a lot of Christmas food, singing carols.
