Jan Kochanowski was born in 1530 Sycyna. It is a Polish writer, poet during the Renaissance. They called him a Jan z Czarnolas. He died in Lublin 1584r.

Lech Wałęsa was born in 29 September 1943 in Popow. He was an electrician in shipyard and an acivist and leader of polish association called "Solidarność". He is also a laureate of Nobel Peace Award. He was Polish President in years 1990–1995. After year 1995 he established "Instytut Lecha Wałęsy”. He is still living.
