Cloth Hall in Krakow Cloth Hall are at the heart of Krakow's Market Square. He rebuilt many times, this historical building has its origins in the thirteenth century, during the reign of King Boleslaw the Chaste, when in the middle of the square merchant stalls were set in such a way that creates a way lane running through the middle of the market. It was not until the reign of Casimir III, the great Cloth Hall took the form of a brick building, but were destroyed in 1555 by fire. Another reconstruction was in the late nineteenth century when the building was surrounded by arcades and projections were added in the transition section, the heads of columns were designed by Jan Matejko.
