Harold was my grandpa’s name. He was the best grandfather in the world. He was telling me amazing stories about his life. He was like my dad. He showed me how to ride a bike, we went fishing, and he taught me how to drive a car. Everything was perfect, unfortunately it had to end. One day, after I came back from school I dropped my backpack and wanted to run to my grandfather’s home. Then, my mother stopped me and told that horrible thing. My grandfather, Harold, had a heart attack and was taken to the hospital. While doctors tried to help him, they found he had dangerous cancer. Nobody was able to help him. His body refused to obey and did not want to fight with the disease. Doctors gave him up to 3 months left of his life. My heart was broken and broke more and more each day. It was fear of losing the closest person in my life. Fear of losing someone who brought me up, who had always been there with me, for me. Since then, every moment seemed important to me. I realized how important family is. When my grandpa died, I felt emptiness. My mom and a friend tried to cheer me up every day but I had to deal with it on my own. Life is fragile so you have to enjoy it, spend every moment with the ones that make you happy, the ones you love.
