One Direction is a british/irish boyband. They are  five boys. Harry, Zayn, Liam, Louis and Niall. All of them come from England, except for Niall. He comes from Ireland.They started out on the 23rd July 2010. The came 3rd place in the XFactor. They were put together by Simon Cowell. After they won the XFactor they signed a contrac wit SYCO. They have already made two albums, and a third one will be out in 2014. They are making a movie called 1D 3D Movie: This Is Us. One Direction is known all around the world. I think they are really brave and confident because they decided to stand in front of many people and were not afraid to loose the XFactor, but they made it and faced the hate and were very surprised to find out they had so many fans.
