The recipe for a classic Karpatka. Karpatka is made of steamed dough that rises beautifully, creating a mass of high mountains and pudding. For me, this is the perfect recipe for Karpatka. Mass is compacted, nothing comes on the sides and it tastes great. I would recommend.
Ingredients:
Steamed cake:
1 cup of water
150g margarine
1 cup flour
5 eggs
pinch of salt
a pinch of baking powder (as at the end of the blade)
Weight:
3 cups of milk
300g butter (you can reduce the amount of butter if you do not like very buttery mass)
¾ cup of sugar
2 teaspoons of vanilla sugar
4 kopiate tablespoons flour (80g)
Kopiate 4 tablespoons of potato flour (80g)
2 egg yolks
Method of preparation:
Prepare cake. Boil water and margarine. Download pot from the oven and stir vigorously (preferably with a wooden spoon), add flour. Put the pot back on the stove and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, about 2 - 3 minutes. (The dough will be pretty uniform and move away from the pot). Leave cake to cool for a moment. (The easiest way into a bowl or another pan, then cool down faster, but not necessarily completely). To slightly warm or cold dough, mixing blender, add one egg, a pinch of salt and baking powder.
Divide the dough into 2 parts.
Rectangular form with dimensions of approximately 35x 24cm smear margarine and sprinkle with flour. Spread half of the dough in the form of a spoon.
Bake in the preheated oven, until golden brown, about 30 minutes. at 180 ° C. In the same manner the second half of the baked dough.
Prepare pudding weight. 2 cups of milk and sugar to boil. The remaining milk is thoroughly mixed with egg yolks, sugar, vanilla and meals. Add boiling milk, with rapid stirring to avoid lumps formed. Minute boil (about 1 min. Pudding will be thick). Allow to cool. Soft butter mixer until light and fluffy. Continue mixing, gradually add cold pudding.
The mass spread on a table top dough. Cover with a second counter. Refrigerate the dough for at least 2 hours.
Ready sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Enjoy your meal.
Note: 1 cup = 250ml
Before giving the best to pull the dough out of the refrigerator a little earlier that the mass softened.
