I think that all people are responsible for the condition of our planet. We should use all available means to make people aware of environmental issues. For example we can organise some events promoting the protection of environment during which we can suggest that it is good to select the waste in order to prepare it for recycling or use public transport bikes to get to work, instead of private cars.
However, in my opinion, it is the government and the members of parliament, who are the most responsible for protection of the environment in each country. They can make a proper law that will force various institutions, factories and people to change their ways they function. For example factories will have to cut emissions of carbon dioxide and other toxic gases, otherwise they will pay very high taxes. Or the government will get energy from more ecological sources, like nuclear power stations, wind, the sun, the sea etc.
We should stop exploiting traditional resources like coal because they start to run low and we will end up with nothing.
We, average people in the street, can organise meetings or marches to raise crucial environmental issues, like for example the air and food pollution and in this way we can signal them to everyone, especially the government.
